Working of the Commission
The Commission is authorized to evolve its own method of functioning, and to appoint any committees, which it may deem fit for assisting it and also to appoint any advisers it may feel necessary. The Commission is also authorized to inter-act with or hold meetings and consultations with any expert, specialist or citizen of its choice to acquire any input, which are essential for its effective functioning. The Commission can also inspect any Government Department or any wing of the administrative machinery at any level. During such inspections, the concerned Secretaries, Heads of Departments and other Officers shall provide any information sought by the Commission on the working of that department. The Commission can secure the services of any expert or organization to study and analyse the functioning of any Government department pertaining to any subject on its behalf and also can conduct seminars and workshops on all such issues. The Commission may request the perceptions of Good Governance from the Hon'ble Public representatives as well. The Commission may even invite the members of Administrative Reforms Commission for discussion. The Commission shall submit its final report within one year from the date of the constitution.
