- Set an example by your conduct that improves the image of the Government.
- Be punctual and enforce punctuality among subordinates.
- Be prompt and transparent in your dealings.
- Implement the lawful orders of the superiors without delay and reservation.
- As a committed civil servant, faithfully implement the development schemes of the Government with full involvement.
- Be positive in your approach to problems relating to weaker sections, Minorities, SCs/STs, etc.
- Keep some time earmarked everyday to meet public and show courtesy to all your visitors.
- Promptly reply to correspondences received from elected representatives, public organizations and citizens.
- Regularly inspect and supervise the work of the subordinates.
- Abide by the Constitution of India, show respect to the National Flag and the National Anthem.

- Don't behave in a way which is detrimental to the interest of the State and it's people.
- Don't be late in attendance as subordinates will follow you.
- Don't be hesitant in taking decisions in public interest.
- Don't be afraid to express your views objectively before your superiors.
- Don't be involved in the political programmes of any political party.
- Don't be negative in your approach to problems relating to weaker sections, Minorities, SCs/STs, etc.
- Don't keep elected representatives and public waiting at your office doors.
- Don't delay in responding to matters of public importance.
- Don't remain aloof from your subordinates.
- Don't subscribe to any views which is against the Constitution of India, national integrity and sovereignty of the country.
