With the basic objectives of

• making administration accountable, citizen friendly and responsive,
• ensuring transparency - access of public to information from public officers,
• revamping of delivery system more particularly for proper implementation of development programmes dovetailed with effective monitoring and evaluation system,
• suggesting measures for creating of work culture with sense of direction where performance and result orientation must be given top most priority and
• reviewing of existing Rules & Procedures to make them simple, clear and pragmatic

the Government of Assam has set up the Assam Administrative Reforms Commission with terms of reference which may kindly be seen in this website. The composition of the Commission is also available in the website.
